Tessa Thurman White


Tessa Thurman, now White, a graduate of Atlanta (Mo.) High School, was selected First Team All Region and All Conference for 1999 and 2000 and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Academic All American in 2000. She graduated from JWCC in 2000 with an associate in arts and transferred to Truman State University, where she played basketball for two years, graduating with a bachelor of science in psychology. She went on to receive her teaching certificate for K-12 special education from Central Methodist University. She now teaches special education at Cole R-V School District in Eugene, Mo. She lives in Eldon with her husband and three children.
