Men's Soccer Poised For Success

John Wood men's soccer is entering its eight years, and so much has happened on and off the field during this past summer.

Coach Bob Cowman enters his eight seasons as the head coach of the men's team and looks to continue building the program.

This season, the soccer complex received major upgrades in the form of concrete pads, permanent benches, landscaping around the field, and a new permanent scoreboard, which is set to arrive soon. These improvements are exciting and will be fully utilized, with the hopes of making student athlete experiences better.

This season, there are 24 young men making up the roster from eight countries. Men's Soccer returns 10 Sophomores, two of which are all-region players Dylan Print and Leo Siquiera. Adding to this already solid core are 14 freshmen, highlighted by five Quincy High School graduates, and nine talented internationals.

This year's schedule is filled with regional Junior Colleges, four-year JV squads, and two regional opponents in Parkland and Heartland Community Colleges.

John Wood Men's Soccer opens the season on the road at UHSP, and will make their first home appearance on Tuesday August 12th at 2:00pm against Hannibal LaGrange University.
